Jeff Platz
President

A third-generation insurance agent, born and raised in South Florida, Jeff Platz followed in the footsteps of his father, a retired Allstate agent of 35 years and his brother Rick, who currently owns a local Allstate agency in Jupiter. Jeff received his diploma from Mercer University in 1990, concentrating on business and insurance, which propelled him into his current career.

In 1991 Jeff became a licensed insurance agent and began his career with Massey Clark Fischer. With partners Rob Thomson and Bud Kline, Jeff became co-founder and President of First Florida Insurance in 2005. The company was established with the vision of providing clients the best possible insurance coverage with a “hands-on hometown approach.”

Mr. Platz has grown an extensive network of referral sources that provide a constant flow of new business to First Florida Insurance. Jeff has developed strong strategic relationships with top real estate agencies that target upscale and luxury waterfront, country club, and gated communities as well as key mortgage and title companies. He also has strong relationships with Allstate and State Farm agents as well as real estate sales professionals who do not write / sell high-end homes. Jeff is a member of Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) and the local Chamber of Commerce. Jeff is involved in community activities including Charities for Children, Big Brothers, and Grand Slam Fish for the Cure.
